John was one of the founder members of the Exiles along with Alan Hands and Graham Gosling, and was previously a standout linebacker with the Tonbridge Tigers. 
Undoubtedly one of the best the club has ever seen, John is currently the only person to have had his shirt number retired by the club.
John will be mainly remembered for his hard hitting and speed on the pitch, as well as his ‘anything for the club’ attitude, which saw him take many a sabbatical at QB.
John was unanimously voted in as the first inductee to the Exiles hall of fame.

Most memorable moment:
The retirement of John's shirt in 1997. John was also proud to see his son Ethan take the field for the first time in 2011, for the Exiles Youth team.
