Tough Opener for Junior Return

Kent Exiles 6-66 Farnham Knights

04-05-2014

The Exiles junior team returned to competitive action after a year out, and their first game couldn't have been harder, taking on last years National Runners up the Knights.

With their experienced team the Knights dominated all facets of the game, and their two way star Michael Bradley-Banszki made big plays on defence, and scored 5 touchdowns on the day.

The Exiles had bright spots though, James Woods showed his speed on kickoff returns, taking one all the way to the end zone for the Exiles lone touchdown, having one return called back for a penalty, and threatening to do it several more times before the Knights started kicking away from him.

The Exiles also discovered that both Aaron Khan and Yani Ourabah were threats at quarterback, whilst Khan was also a revaluation at linebacker with Ian Whitehead, both young men performing admirably.

The Knights were too strong though, and powered to victory.
