Our Flag and Contact pathways provide a clear route through the Club, supporting players as they develop their skills, understanding, confidence and athletic ability. Whether a player wants to play for enjoyment, compete at the highest level, or explore opportunities beyond the Exiles, we want to help them achieve their ambitions.
Player development is at the heart of what we do. Our coaches work to develop the whole player — technical skills, game understanding, athletic development, confidence, leadership and the mindset needed to perform at the next level.
As players progress through the Club, we aim to provide increasingly challenging environments, helping them understand what it takes to compete at higher levels and preparing them for the opportunities ahead.

Being an Exile can be the beginning of a much bigger football journey.
For players who want to take their football further, we can help them understand and access opportunities beyond the Club — from Great Britain programmes and university football to scholarships and opportunities to play American Football in the USA.
Our aim is not simply to keep players at the Exiles. It is to help them become the best players they can be and support them wherever their ambitions take them.
Talented and committed players may have the opportunity to progress into Great Britain programmes, representing their country at international level. We want our players to understand what these pathways involve, what is expected at the next level and how they can prepare themselves for selection.
For players moving on to university, American Football can provide an exciting opportunity to continue playing, competing and developing alongside their studies.We want to support players as they make that transition, helping them understand the university football landscape and identify opportunities that fit their ambitions.
For players who want to take their football even further, there are opportunities to explore scholarships and playing American Football at colleges and universities in the USA. These opportunities are highly competitive and require commitment both on and off the field. We want to help our players understand what is possible, how to prepare and where appropriate, connect them with the people and programmes that can support their journey.
There is no single route through American Football. Every player’s journey will be different. Our role is to provide the environment, coaching, support and opportunities that allow players to progress as far as they want to go.
