Behind every team, training session and game day is a team of people who make the Kent Exiles what we are.
From our Committee and coaching staff to team managers, volunteers, welfare leads and medical support, our people give their time, experience and energy to create the best possible environment for our members.
Behind every successful club is a dedicated team of people. At Kent Exiles, our committee, coaches, team managers and volunteers work together to support our players, maintain high standards and create a welcoming, inclusive football community both on and off the pitch.
Our Committee provides the leadership, organisation and direction of the Club. Each role has a clear area of responsibility, helping us to run effectively, maintain high standards and continue developing the Exiles.
We believe good governance is essential to building a sustainable Club — one that is ambitious on the field while remaining welcoming, inclusive and well organised off it.
Our Head Coaches lead the football programmes within the Club, supported by their coaching teams and pathway leads.
They are responsible not only for developing players and preparing teams to compete, but for creating positive environments where players can learn, challenge themselves and enjoy their football.
We expect high standards from our coaches and support them to develop their own knowledge, qualifications and coaching skills.
Team Managers are the people who help keep our teams running smoothly behind the scenes.
From communication and administration to fixtures, logistics and match-day organisation, they provide the organisation that allows coaches and players to focus on football.
They are often the link between the Club, coaches, players and families — an incredibly important part of the Exiles team.
The Exiles simply wouldn’t exist without volunteers.
Our volunteers help with everything from setting up fields and running events to fundraising, communications, equipment, administration, team support and Club development.
Some give hours every week. Others help when they can. Every contribution matters.
We want volunteering at the Exiles to be rewarding, welcoming and accessible — because when people get involved, they don’t just help the Club; they become part of it.
The welfare and safeguarding of our members is one of our highest priorities.
We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, listened to and able to speak up. Our safeguarding team provides support, advice and oversight across the Club, working alongside coaches, team managers, parents and players.
We also use iTrust to give our members another way to have their voice heard — whether that’s sharing a positive experience, making a suggestion or raising a concern.
Safeguarding isn’t just about responding when something goes wrong. It’s about creating a culture where people feel comfortable speaking up and know they will be listened to.
The safety and wellbeing of our players is supported by dedicated medical and first-aid provision across our teams and events.
Our medical volunteers and first aiders provide match-day and training support, helping our teams respond appropriately to injuries and medical needs.
We are committed to maintaining appropriate levels of first-aid knowledge, equipment and support across the Club, working with coaches and team staff to keep player welfare at the centre of what we do.
Players, coaches, managers, volunteers, Committee members, welfare leads, medics, families and supporters all contribute to the Club we are building. Our culture is our strength. Step by step, we’re creating something special, together.
ONE CLUB • ONE TEAM • ONE EXILES
