London Warriors vs Kent Exiles 7/7/19
On Sunday the 7th July 2019 the Kent Exiles took on the London Warriors in their eighth game of the 2019 season.
The Warriors would prove to be a tough opponent, with the South London side having already shown to the rest of the league that they are the team to beat this year, winning all previous games comfortably and in dominant fashion. However, games like this are invaluable in what they can teach, with the Exiles having a chance to play against the best this country has to offer, an opportunity that few teams in the UK are afforded.
The game started with promising performances for the Exiles, showing signs of consistency on offense and picking up a few first downs early in the first quarter. Defensively, the Exiles looked to win individual matchups, with players making the most of this opportunity to challenge themselves in the name of self-improvement.
Unfortunately, despite these intentions, the established premiership opponent would prove to be too much for the Exiles, with the Warriors walking out as 80-0 victors.
The Exiles look forward to their next game against the London Blitz at Finsbury Park on the 21st July, where they hope to avenge a week 3 loss and retain premiership status for the 2020 season.
